Adra, Almeria

We decided to head east along the coast for a day out but with no real idea where or what we were going to do. The weather looked promising so shorts and sunglasses were the order of the day.

Heading past La Herradura we stopped for breakfast and then carried on along the coast road.

There some gorgeous beaches along this road, but figuring how to get down to then takes some doing

we stopped at La Rabita where there was a school procession

Further along the coast we stopped at La Mamola there was a market along the front so a coffee and some shopping with some bargains, jumpers and denim jackets at knock down prices

On to Adra which is about 60k from Ameria and has a very large seaport but other than what used to be a lighthouse nothing really startling, just lots of shops, banks and palm trees.

We called into a small Spanish restaurant for lunch where we had lentil and potato soup, serrano ham and cheese, spare ribs, pork chop, all excellent and washed down with a bottle of house red

On the way back we called in at Salobrena for a final coffee before heading back to Nerja
