Bullfighting in Nerja?

Well actually no, and for me that is no bad thing. I realise that to some Spanish, bullfighting means everything to them while I think it is cruel.
Anyway elsewhere in Spain the Catalania parliament recently voted on a decision to ban bullfights in their region. The result was 67 in favour and 59 against. The new law could be effective by May.
Meanwhile in this part of Spain a couple of townhalls are moving in the opposite direction with Velez Malaga and Frigiliana calling for new larger bullrings to be built.

Bullfights yes or no?

This is one and most important thing I hate about Spanish people : Their crualty against animals.
The bullfights are unacceptable. Their beheauvour with dogs, everybody knows what they do with their Greyhounds when they stop winning …

  • GrayC says:

Who are we do say what Spaniards wish to do in their own country. Plenty in the UK do not wish to be dictated to by Islamist extremists, why should those expats opposed to bullfighting have a voice in Spain?

  • Sanmiguel says:

GrayC, animals don’t have a voice, they cannot defend themselves, so we have to do that.
Say some prayers that your reincarnation will not be a greyhound or bull in Spain …

  • banksie says:

GrayC as a resident in Spain I do have a voice! and along with the majority of Spaniards I too am against bullfighting.
