The crew from Alameda on Jaen have moved to Asador Castillo  next to Malibu on C/Malaga. The old Andrea Inn on Jaen looks set to re-open soon and Coconuts is moving across the alleyway to Galeria and the old premises are now a Flamenco bar.

Thanks to Ian from the Chapel for the DIY pancakes last night, although to be fair Ian quickly handed the reins over to Alex who soon had a nice production line going! This is a shot of the rare first pancake for me, about to be tossed by Ian lol

The Nerja Donkey Sanctuary are having a fair on Sunday 26th from 1-6pm. There will be stalls including; Indian head massage, a mobile tack stall, Truly madly baby, Pet supply, Cake stall.

Also; Clear round jump off, Gymkhana, Bouncy castle, Pony rides, Bbq, bar, veggie food

54 people met at the “train station”, which was Lindas bar then we set off on the WT down C/Malaga, along Mediteraneo, with everyone singing and waving like mad tourists, up Chanquete, up San Miguel then down Castilla Perez where could we be going?

Turned left at the bottom of C/Perez and parked up at Malibu about 50 yards from where we left from! by this time people were laughing so hard.
A few well earned beers for us worn out travellers and then All Aboard the WT and off through the town and up to Los Arcos, where there was live music ( and more beers, you get the idea) and then off again around the back streets to Nerja Club about 100 yards from Los Arcos where again there was live music. Then off again to our final destination which was Ceili bar.
What a great idea and a great night. A very different way to celebrate a party.

Last nights procession was fabulous as usual and the best weather for years.

The weather looks set good if a bit chilly for the Carnaval tonight, so find a nice bar to watch it from and be prepared to laugh yer socks off.
The procession will start pretty much from Chaparil/Calle Jaen at 5/5.50ish

Gordon Ramsay is supposed to be in town this weekend doing a “surprise visit” to a restaurant, so keeps your eyes open for him or even better get a pic of him and I will buy you a beer

that doesn’t happen everyday, well to me at least.
Telefonica/Movistar rang me and thanked me for my custom and asked if I was happy with their service. I said their service was fine but their prices were too high. The girl then told me that was one of the reasons she was calling, they were going to reduce my ADSL bill from 44 euros to 29.90 a month!
Then I got a nice fat refund from Endesa who had been over charging me for my electricity the past who knows how long.

woo hoo!

A walk along the Balcon earlier this evening and I must say how fabulous it looks!
The cafe bars along the front all have comfortable chairs or chairs with nice thick cushions.

Annie’s Bar now has a patio heater as well as blankets for the chilly later evenings.
Don’t forget to put March 17th in your diary as Annie always does the best St Patrick’s Day in Nerja!

Thanks to Barbara and Bob for this photograph of Calahonda beach of Nerja, taken 31 years ago this month. Not a sign of Papagayo beach bar. I took a little liberty of taking the new one a little to the right as all you can see from the original viewpoint is masses of vegetation. Watch out for another 31 year “spot the difference” tomorrow.
