Eating out can be a bit daunting in Nerja if you are new to
the area and the language, but don't be put off from eating in that very Spanish
restaurant, in our experience nearly all of them have menus in different
languages as well as Spanish, and as for wine, simply go for the Vino De la Casa
(house wine) Blanco is white & Tinto is red, until you decide which wines you like (and can remember their names)
The amount of eating out places in Nerja is staggering, with
choices of good old Brit food, Spanish restaurants, Greek,
Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian, French and Mexican restaurants.
There is somewhere just about around every corner.
If you find a restaurant that impresses you in
or even around Nerja, please drop us an email, and
we will give them a mention on our
we recommend
pages. If a meal or the service is not good tell the manager or owner,
not us.
The worst type of complaint is the silent complaint, people go to a restaurant
and they have their meal, and even though something is wrong, they eat it, pay for it
and leave. They then proceed to tell all their friends how bad it was!
The restaurant or cafe meanwhile is unaware that something is wrong and continue
thinking everything they do is good, why? because no-one tells them otherwise.
If you are not quite up for a full meal, why not try a
Tapas or
two?
Tapas bars are everywhere in Nerja, and if you want to
do a Tapas run there are some good rules to make it fun:
Only have one drink and Tapas in each bar you visit (that way you get to try
loads of bars)
If you don't know the name of the Tapas you want, simply point.
Mix and match Tapas to share with each other that way you get to try loads.
We also have a small wine review section to get you started on what could
become a life's work sampling
