Velez Malaga

Just a twenty minute drive away from Nerja, this fairly industrial town still has it's charms with it's winding streets and quite good shopping.
Follow the signs for the city centre (ciudad centro) and try and find somewhere to park and just wander off.
There are lots of little bars for refreshment, but a lot of them seem to be closed on Sundays.
The shopping seems to be good mainly for shoes.
There are churches and a castle to see although the walk up to the top could be a bit of a hike for anyone not fit!
