Maro beach

Maro is a small village to the East of Nerja providing a less commercial atmosphere. It is 10 minutes drive from Nerja & also served by the local bus service.
The Beach is signed Playa de Maro from village centre, and is a further 5 minutes windy and narrow drive or a 15 minute stroll. You are unable to drive all the way down to the beach but to a part where the road widens just enough to park where you leave the car and walk the last few minutes down to the beach.
The beach is  in a sheltered cove,  and is mixture of sand and shingle.  There is one beach bar, no other facilities but an  ideal quiet getaway for most of the year.
Remember the windy road down is an easy walk down, but a long walk back up to Maro.
